2011

E.ON Bulgaria donated 1 000 BGN to Center for social rehabilitation and integration of children with specific educational needs part of Association “For You”


 


E.ON Bulgaria donated the amount of 1 000 BGN, which was used to purchase computer configuration and educational software for the Center for social rehabilitation and integration of children with specific educational needs. The center is being visited by children at the age of 6 to 12 years old. Its main functions include leisure activities such as handcrafting and drawing. Children also get help with their school work.
The computer activities are one of the most important functions of the center. Thanks to the different interactive games children learn mathematics, Bulgarian language, geography, and history. In addition, the work with computer improves their precision movement. Of course, the biggest entertainment for children is playing games. Apart from the children, the computer will be used by the young people, who are part of the other activities at the association.

At the moment, in Association “FOR YOU” there are activities for the leisure time of young people with mental and physical disorders, as well as young people with other social hardship such as children from minorities, children victims of human trafficking, and children without parents.

 

2010

E. ON Bulgaria supported the campaign " Smile –cheer up someone else” of the Institute of Contemporary Art and Therapy "Libera "

 


 
E. ON Bulgaria, being a company with an active social commitment was the first organization which supported the campaign of the Institute of Contemporary Art and Therapy "Liberal", "Smile –cheer up someone else". The aim of the initiative is to create a "factory" for smiles and positive vibrations and to give them to children who really have a special need from them.

The company chose the Institute "Libera" as a partner for conducting of two drum team buildings. Thus the employees of E.ON Bulgaria gave their smiles to children with special needs of the autistic spectrum, with whom have been conducted two similar sessions with a therapeutic nature. Sessions for children are separately held as a charity event on behalf of the company. On November 25, in the National Palace of Culture delivered two rhythm therapy sessions for Foundation “Step for the invisible children of Bulgaria ", held by Martin Ivanov from Liberia Institute. They included 15 autistic children and their parents.
As a result of the rhythm sessions are increased the confidence, calmness and self-esteem. Rhythm returned the child to primary - a time when it was in the womb and only the rhythm of the heart of his mother has wearing comfort and protection. Parents of the Foundation “Step for invisible children of Bulgaria” expressed their gratitude for the opportunity provided.


Employees of E. ON Bulgaria renewed city parks and playgrounds in northeastern Bulgaria


 
In October 2010, E.ON Bulgaria initiated various activities for renovation of the urban environment by the participation of its employees. The aim is to contribute to the maintaining and improving of the environment in each region, where the company develops its activities. The initiative is part of the overall concept of Group E.ON called One E.ON, to form a corporate culture of the staff and common values sharing. In 2010 they were achieving of a strong safety culture, occupational health and environmental protection.
In this respect, between 11 to 15 October 2010, E.ON Bulgaria undertook a number of initiatives to improve the urban environment, including renovation and restoration of children's play facilities, flower and bush planting, improving of the landscape environment in ten cities of Northeast Bulgaria - Varna, Shumen, Dobrich, Silistra, Russe, Razgrad, Targovishte, Gabrovo, Gorna Oryahovitsa and Veliko Tarnovo. The company invested EUR 35,000 in materials and new equipment and nearly 300 employees and managers participated voluntarily in the initiative.


Young artists from the School of Fine Arts "Daedalus" exposed their pictures in the Archaeological Museum in Varna

 

For a second consecutive year, E.ON Bulgaria supported a summer school art "Daedalus." The young artists from the school showed their talent together with their teachers in a joint exhibition on September 17, 2010 in the courtyard of the Archaeological Museum in Varna. There were exposed 93 works, most of which were purchased at the same evening.
The young artists aged between 7 and 15 years found expression in front of nearly 800 visitors, including local government representatives, business and media. Among the official guests was the governor, Mr. Yordan Simeonov, who congratulated the children and teachers from the school and expressed his appreciation for their success.
The school was opened in the summer of 2009 aiming to enable children of less privileged social backgrounds to develop their talents and find environment in which to express freely their perception of the world through the ways of art. This year the organizers have undertaken the ambitious task to equip premises for applied graphics, graphic design and technology and later to open a school of photography, film making, music and theater. The goal is the school of the arts to establish itself as a valuable cultural and art center for talented children and to attract the support of new followers. The funds raised from the sale of paintings will be added to the budget of the winter school. In addition to supporting the implementation of the summer school, E.ON Bulgaria purchased 12 paintings, with which made further contribution to conducting the winter school.

E.ON Bulgaria built a platform for facilitation the access to the building of the House for mentally challenged children in Rudnik village

 

In june, 2010, E.ON Bulgaria built a platform for the children of the House for mentally challenged children and youth in Rudnik village, Varna region. The platform provides a normal access to the inhabited of them building. The donation amounts BGN 3000. Except of the platform which ensures better living conditions in the house, the children received from the company many gifts – balls, constructors, books, drawing materials, which we hope will help their development and will make their daily life more interesting and happier.

E.ON Bulgaria donated digital camera and home electricity appliances to the Ministry of health’s House for medical and social care for children- Varna

 

In the first half of 2010, E.ON Bulgaria made a donation to the House for medical and social care for children- Varna that consisted of digital camera, which will be used to record the different stages of treatment of the hospitalized children, small refrigerator for specific medications, and air conditioner that will make the children’s stay at the home more comfortable during the upcoming summer days. The total amount of the donation is 1 000 BGN. The selection of the different appliances had been made according to the urgent needs of the medical home and discussed in advance with its management.

2009

We helped children with unjust social status to study the beaux arts in the summer

 

With the financial support of E.ON Bulgaria, on 3 July, a school for children with unjust social status Dedal commenced its activities.
With great pleasure Dr. Hubert Lechner, Senior vice-president of E.ON Bulgaria handed in a cheque of BGN 5000 for the implementation of the summer arts school.
The funds will be used to buy the necessary materials and tools for the training.
The tutorials will be held through July and August will include structural composition teaching, working with colours, plastic arts, the applied arts, graphic design and technologies.
This pilot editions of the school will see 24 child participants.

For a third consecutive year E.ON Bulgaria supports the project of “Dr. Ivan Shishmanov” Secondary school for CIV for the organization of a summer school for children with multitude of disabilities

 


For a third consecutive year the company supported the successful project of “Dr. Ivan Shishmanov” Secondary school for CIV in Varna. During the feast Mr. Boyko Dimitrachkov, Member of the Board of Management of E.ON Bulgaria, greeted the children and their teachers for the achieved results and handed a token cheque for the donation to the principal of the school Mr. Petar Petrov. “Through the organization of the summer school we are striving to support and develop the knowledge and skills of the children, acquired during the school year. Last but not least it has a social effect, too as it gives opportunity to the parents to continue to practice their professions while their children are at school”, shared Mr. Petar Petrov..

The actors Galin Ginev and Krasimir Dobrev form Varna Puppet Theatre provided for the festive spirits of the children. The actors made a short performance based on the fairy tale The wolf and the seven little kids by Grimm Brothers, in which the participants in the summer school also took part in. For their active participation in the performance and for their results during the school year, the children were given lots of presents.

2008

E.ON Bulgaria continues the initiative for supporting the summer school for children with impaired vision and multitude of disabilities

The project was realized by “Dr. Ivan Shishmanov” Secondary School.

For second consecutive year the company supported financially the organization of the summer school for children with impaired vision and multitude of disabilities situated in the Varna district Asperuhovo. On 26th of June 2008 at a specially organized event jointly with the team and the children from the school Mr. Martin Kraus, Board Member of the Management Board of E.ON Bulgaria bestowed upon a symbolic cheque to the amount of BGN 4000 to the principal of the school, Mr. Petar Petrov.

The children had great fun in the presence of the coloured clown.

Then summer school includes different kind of therapies for developing the achieved during the year skills and knowledge of the children - art, music, physio and hypo (horse – riding) therapy in “Phanagoria” Old – Bulgarian settlement”.

The children had prepared a performance and demonstrated with joy their musical and artistic skills. The special surprise of the company was the funny clown who raised children’s spirit and turned the event into real feast for them.

2007

E.ON Bulgaria initiated a project under the motto “The City of My Dreams”

The project “The City of  My Dreams” has been transferred to the territory of Dobrich town.

On the occasion of the Day of Dobrich - 25th of September - children from the art classes of St. Climent Ohridski secondary school drew pictures on the walls of a transformer station in the town´s park.

 

E.ON Bulgaria bestowed a donation for improvement of the school material environment to those scholls taken part in the initiative.

The company rewarded the enthusiasm of the young artists with paints, canvases and other art materials, they have wished for.

Students of the Dobri Hristov national school draw pictures on electrical cassettes, city of Varna

The project aims at providing young talents the chances to be seen by a broader public and at the same time this will contribute to the development and improvement of the city they live in.
The official start of the initiative was given in August 2007 with the opening of the first art creations painted on electrical cassettes in the sea garden of Varna.
Young talents of the Dobri Hristov National School in Varna painted selected motifs of their pictures on two distribution boxes.

E.ON Bulgaria granted BGN 6,000 to children with impaired vision and cerebral paralysis

Е.ОN Bulgaria granted BGN 6,000 for the summer school for the children with impaired vision and cerebral paralysis from Dr Ivan Shishmanov Secondary and Primary school in Varna.

On 27 June 2007 at a special function in the school, Natasha Tzvetkova, Senior Vice President in E.ON Bulgaria presented a symbolic check for the grant to the Headmaster of the -school – Mr Petar Petrov. The sum will be used for providing specialized help to the children during the classes, which will take place between June 1 and August 31.

E.ON Bulgaria joined the donation campaign for the erection of the monument of tsar Boris I in the town of Pliska

E.ON Bulgaria joined the large scale donation campaign for the erection of the monument dedicated to tsar Boris I in the first Bulgarian capital Pliska. The monument of the Baptizer Tsar, 11 m high, is made by the prof. Boris Gondov, sculptor.

The official monument commemoration ceremony was held on 2 May 2007, the day of the 1100th anniversary of the demise of tsar Boris I.

The solemn ceremony of its opening was attended by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Georgi Parvanov, 15 bishops officiated Holy Mass on the occasion of the anniversary of the decease of tsar Boris I.

Further to the donation for the erection of the monument E.ON Bulgaria commits itself to provide free power supply for the lighting of the monument in the course of 1 year.

Mr Reinhard Aschendorff, Member of the Board of Management of E.ON Bulgaria and Princess Teofana von Sachsen were congratulated for the donation to the hospital in Dobrich

On 27 March 2007 in the city of Dobrich officially was donated medical equipment to the multi-profile active treatment hospital. The donation was initiated by Princess Teofana von Sachsen, who has been active in charity for 15 years.

Following its policy of socially responsible company E.ON Bulgaria responded to Mrs. Von Sachsen’s call to finance the transportation of the donation she had organized.

E.ON Bulgaria continues to be committed in the implementation of different social projects on the territory of operation of the company.

‘In that respect covering the transportation costs to Dobrich for the medical equipment donated by Mrs. von Sachsen was simply self evident’, said Mr. Reinhard Aschendorff, member of the Board of Management of E.ON Bulgaria who represented the company at that event. 

 

2005

E.ON donated 500 000 Euro to the victims of the floods in the summer of 2005

Following the severe flooding in the summer of 2005 and the subsequent crisis situation, E.ON Bulgaria and its parent company E.ON Energie AG decided to support the people of the affected regions with a donation of 500 000 EURO.

In cooperation with the Bulgarian Red Cross and the Civil Defense Authorities E.ON Bulgaria established joint committees to control the just and fair distribution of the donation funds. The money was funneled only into projects that provide aid for the reconstruction of the affected buildings and that directly and efficiently help the people who suffered from the floods.

In total, more than 200 projects will be carried out. The major part of the donation has been earmarked for the purchase of houses. In addition, other funds have been used for the reconstruction of partly demolished houses, as well as for the rebuilding of public establishments, such as nursery schools, throughout North-Eastern Bulgaria.

On 2 May 2006, in the town hall of Rousse the utilization of the E.ON donation and the results of the particular projects in the region of Rousse were presented to the public. Mr. Ralph Pesch, member of the Management Board of E.ON Bulgaria, handed over to the families whose houses had been struck by the last year's floods, a symbolic key to their new homes.
"We are happy that with our help here, in the region of Rousse, new houses could be provided to the many families whose homes were destroyed by the floods", Mr. Pesch said.

The second similar event in the project to assist the flood victims took place on 19.07.2006 in the town hall of Glavinitsa, District Silistra. Forty families received a second chance to feel the warmth and coziness of their homes. The funds for the projects in the District of Silistra amount to 200,000 BGN.

As a symbol of appreciation the district governor of Veliko Turnovo District, Mr Toshko Nikiforov, hands over a certificate of gratitude to Mr Ralph Pesch.

The final event of the project was conducted on 25.09.2006 in the official hall of the Municipality of Veliko Turnovo.

52 families for the district were supported.

The funds for the projects amount to approximately 220 000 BGN.

In November 2005 the E.ON Energie Group held its conference in the Sports and Culture Palace in Varna. About 1,000 managers from the E.ON companies in Germany and in Central Europe attended the meeting. As a gesture of gratitude for the co-operation and support during the organization of the event, E.ON Bulgaria decided to thank the city of Varna and its citizens by giving a present. The experiences during the cold and snowy winter of 2005 suggested the choice of a present - a snow plough, which Mr. Paasch, Chairman of the Management Board of E. ON Bulgaria, donated on 5th January 2006 to the mayor of Varna, Mr. Yordanov.
