E.ON Bulgaria - General Sponsor of the Sports Dancing Town Championship in Varna

E.ON Bulgaria was a general sponsor of the sports dancing town championship in the town of
Varna which was on the 22nd of December in the Congress hall of the
Palace of Culture and Sports. Organizer of the event was “Kristal” Sports
dancing club with the support of Youth activities and Sports Division of Varna Municipality.
In the concert part nearly 300 dancers took part in different age groups (children, youths and laics over 18 years old) who are from the 4 clubs that go in for sports dancing on the territory of the town of Varna. 34 dancing couples competed for the prize places in the competitive part.
Representatives of E.ON Bulgaria, General sponsor of the competition, handed the medals to the winners. These were Mrs. Daria Maneva, Head of Communications and Mr. Orlin Dimitrov, Head
of the Office in Sofia.
“Kristal” Dancing club was established in 1987 by Diana Filipova as a school of sotrs dancing for children at Children’s complex – Varna. Today, the club is one of the biggest in the country. A great part of its alumni are among the best dancing couples of Bulgaria.

E.ON Bulgaria sponsors an international tournament “E.ON Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup - Varna 2008 and Queen Margarita Prize”

On 24 and 25 July 2008 Varna is meeting the world elite at the International tournament
"E.ON Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup - Varna 2008 and Queen Margarita Prize" whose General sponsor is E.ON Bulgaria.
Contestants from 9 countries took part in the tournament – Austria, Canada, Azarbejdjan, Israel, Brazil, Bulgaria, Japan, Estonia and Turkey, five of which took part in ensembles. There was a great importance paid on this tournament because it was held only a month before the Olympic
Games in Beijing and was the final big competition on which the teams could challenge forces with each other.
In 2006 E.ON Bulgaria undertook supporting the Bulgarian gymnasts of “Iliana” Club in their preparation for their participation at the Olympic Games in Beijing. The support of this international tournament is a logical continuation of this engagement
to the sport and an expression of the understanding for social responsibility on behalf of the company.

E.ON Bulgaria supported the tour of Eurobiker in Bulgaria

E.ON Bulgaria supported the tour of the international motoclub "Eurobiker", which took place from 9th to 17th May 2008.
The goal of The Sixth Charity Tour of "Eurobiker" was Bulgaria, where numerous Bulgarian hospitals and other social institutions recieved received a donation.
The help came as a result of an eight month charity campaign, that allowed to be collected eight trucks witth donations which were later on donated to bulgarian hospitals and social institutions.
"Without the support of E.ON Bulgaria, making a tour like that and donating the
humanitarian aid wouldn't be possible.
The company was much more than a sponsor - it was the field coordination partner of "Eurobiker" and without their support it would be hardly possible to implement all of our intentions" said the motor club's chairman,
Mr. Andreas Kimel.

E.ON Bulgaria remains a main sponsor of the youth basketball team Cherno more – E.ON in the new season as well

At a joint pressconference in October 2007, E.ON Bulgaria announced that
it will continue to be a sponsor of the basketball club Cherno more and
a main sponsor of the youth formations of the club in the season
2007/2008. In September 2006 E.ON Bulgaria concluded a sponsorship
contract with the local basketball club Cherno More for the 2006/07
season.
During the last season the youths of Cherno more finished second in the
general ranking of all age groups. “We are glad that thanks to our
sponsorship we succeeded in contributing for this success”, noted Mr.
Paasch.
Initiated by the company, the basketball club received a mascot – a
dolphin and its sincere wishes for lots of luck and success.

E.ON Bulgaria becomes the main sponsor of the “Iliana Eurhythmic
Gymnastics Club

In July 2006 E.ON Bulgaria became the sponsor of the "Iliana Eurhythmic Gymnastics Club" association. The club,
established in 1993 by the World European champion in Eurhythmic
Gymnastics Iliana Raeva was granted 120,000 BGN for a
period of 2 years. The company’s involvement is particularly directed
towards supporting young gymnasts in preparing for 2008 Olympics in Beijing. |
