E.ON Bulgaria supported the competition “Word and Tint” in Targovishte

E.ON Bulgaria sponsored the XI Municipal Competition for Creative Work “Word and Tint” in Targovishte. This year’s theme was “The world of Youths”. The activity was held on March 29th in the Youth House. The huge interest in the event caused a lack of seats in the concert hall.
There were two main categories – “Literary Work” and “Pictorial Art”. Children of all ages got prizes. Mr. Ognyan Dechkov – head of Distribution Service Center Shumen & Targovishte gave two honorary diplomas to the schools that did best at the competition.
Except the contest, the organizers offered their guests a greeting program. All dance groups of the Youth House took part in it.

E.ON Bulgaria gave prizes on the Day of Joke

With the support of E.ON Bulgaria, The House of Humor and Satire in Gabrovo organized a children’s matinee titled “Merry Gabrovo”. Children of all ages painted, sang, told anecdotes and laughed on April 1st – the Day of Joke.
Mr Pencho Minchev – head of Distribution Service Center Gorna Oryahovitsa and Gabrovo on behalf of E.ON Bulgaria gave special prizes to children from all age groups in the categories “Children Drawing” and “Young Narrator”.
The contest was accompanied by a musical artistic program. The guests were able to see the thematic exhibition “Cats” by the Italian painter Sergio Cavallerin and the new-found monument of Gabrovo Cat.

E.ON Bulgaria supported the competition “Pizho and Penda” in Shumen

E.ON Bulgaria supported the 14th edition of the Regional Competition for Applied Arts “Pizho and Penda”, in which over 300 students took part. Children from 12 schools and extra-school institutions from Shumen, Smyadovo and the villages of Lozevo, Mokresh, Hitrino and Madara had made martenitsi and First of March decorations. The contest was held on March 1st and was organized by the United Children’s Complex – Shumen.
The authors of the most beautiful and interesting works were given individual and collective prizes. All compositions were exhibited at the Regional Library “Stilyan Chilingov”.

E.ON Bulgaria – sponsor of the project “The Wedding – unity and variety”

СWith the support of E.ON Bulgaria, on August 29th and 30th the Architectural-ethnographic complex “Etar” – Gabrovo, welcomed for a second consecutive year, folklore formations from different regions of the country.
During the festival “The Wedding – unity and variety” 8 folklore formations introduced all the guest of the complex to the ethnical and ethnographical variety throughout the Bulgarian lands and the rich folklore, with the presentation of particular moments of the wedding ritual, typical for different ethnos and ethnographical groups.
Filled with lots of music and dances, accompanied with the corresponding ritual requisite and costumes, the performers showed again this year, that the customs and traditions can only gather and unite all communities in Bulgaria. |
E.ON Bulgaria gave away presents to the participants in the children festval "Star way 2009"

For a second consecutive year E.ON Bulgaria supported the second National Children Festival “Star way 2009” for popular songs and dances united under the slogan “Children art for traffic safety”.
The festival took place from July 3rd – 4th at the Municipality Culture Center in Razgrad with the support of Municipality of Razgrad and District Direction “Police” – Razgrad.
The aim of this year’s festival was to encourage the creative potential of gifted children in the field of art and an appeal to society for careful and safety behavior on the road.
Participants in the festival ware children and youths from all over the country at age of 7 to 20.
E.ON Bulgaria made the youngest participants happy with plush toys and special prizes. |
E.ON Bulgaria supported the organization of the children festival "Sensetaion for the Universe" in Silistra.

On the occasion of the 400-year anniversary of the use of the telescope for astronomical observations and the announced by the International Astronomical Union 2009 for an international year of astronomy, the National Astronomical Observatory “Galileo Galilei” in
the town of Silistra organized a children’s feast under the heading “Sensation for the Universe”.
The feast was carried out today (June 1st) at the Central Square in the town
of Silistra with the participation of children at the age between 7 and 12.
E.ON Bulgaria supported the organization of the feats as it furnished funds for the purchase of materials and awards for the participants.

E.ON Bulgaria supported the report of the World Watch Institute for the Planet's Condition

For second consecutive year E.ON Bulgaria supports the report of the World Watch Institute for the Planet’s condition. Each year Planet’s Condition treats topics in regard with the sustainable development.
This year’s issue “Planet’s Condition 2009. We’re entering into a warmer world” aims to give a new impulse and energy to the international climate talks as well as informing for the deep and long term consequences of the experiment that we are doing with the atmosphere of our planet. The accent is being put on the consequences of this change for the people and the environment. The book is studying the political changes needed for dealing with the climate changes and stops at the economical benefits of this transition may provide including the potential of creating new sectors and work places for the richer as well as for the poor countries.

E.ON Bulgaria is a sponsor of the IVth International festival “Danube theatre fest” held in the town of Ruse

The festival is organized by the Dramatic Theater “Sava Ognyanov” – Ruse, Ruse District, “Spectacle of the year” union, association “BalkanArt”- Sofia, club of the figures of culture – Ruse and is held every two years in the middle of October. The festival was held for the first time in 2002 under the auspices of the mayor of the town.
The aim of the initiative is to gather within one week theatre spectacles from countries located along the Danube River and the Balkan Peninsular. The name of the festival is connected with the idea of the meaning of the river as a symbolic bridge between Europe and the Balkans in the cultural field and the opportunity for enhancing the integration relations among the theatrical artists from different countries.
E.ON Bulgaria supports the international cultural cooperation and in that respect designated the sum of BGN 4000 to cover part of the expenses of one of the participants in the festival – the theatre of the town of Osnabruk, Germany.
During the opening ceremony, the spectacle of the Bulgarian Army theatre – “Chaika” was awarded “The ice mask” prize for the best Bulgarian spectacle of the year. The award is founded by the “Spectacle of the year” union and this year is bestowed upon for the first time at the festival.

This year E.ON Bulgaria is the main sponsor of the International Music Festival "Varna Summer", where the newest tendencies in the modern musc art meet eachother.
The festival is one of the oldest musical forums in Europe and is taking place from 20th June to 30 July every year in the sea capitol Varna, organized
by Municipality of Varna with the support of E.ON Bulgaria.

E.ON Bulgaria was the general sponsor of the ceremony of the Annual Awards of the Bulgarian Association of Regional Media (BARM) and the Senior Vice-president of the company, Dr. Hubert Lechner bestowed the award ‘Bulgarian of Merits’ to the Chairman of the Union of the people’s community centers, Prof. Stoyan Denchev.

supported the Day of Varna venue

On the occasion of the 128th anniversary of the
Bulgarian Navy on 12th August the Municipality of Varna, with the
financial support staged a show for the crews of the visiting ships
of the navy formation of Black sea countries.
On 15th August being the main sponsor the company
supported the numerous cultural events dedicated to the Day of Varna,
including holy mass service, celebration concerts and oils, etchings,
sculpture and the applied arts exhibition of Varna artists. |

support of the Bulgarian nurses

The spectacular event held on 28 May 2007 at
Locomotive stadium, Sofia was part of the National campaign ‘You are
not alone’. It was initiated by leading Bulgarian media in support
of the nurses in Lybia.
Е.ОN Bulgaria joined the campaign and became one of the five major
sponsors.
The company provided opportunity to nearly 100 business and
household customers as well as employees of the company to express
their support and enjoy the live performance of the great British
star. |

The company participated in the organisation of some of the most
significant cultural events.

Celebrating its official foundation as a newly
established company E.ON Bulgaria welcomed guests from the world of
business, politics and the press to a formal reception held in the
National Theatre "Ivan Vazov", Sofia. Commemorating the hundredth
anniversary of the theatre, several famous works were put on stage.
One of the highlights of this event was the play "Antigone", performed
by the Munich Theatre "Kammerspiele". E.ON Bulgaria was the main
sponsor of this unique performance, which had been especially adapted
for the Bulgarian audience and was completely sold out on both
evenings.

In August 2005, E.ON Bulgaria was one of the main sponsors of the
international film festival "Love is folly", which is held annually in
Varna. It attracts an audience of 15,000, including the cultural and the
political elite of Bulgaria, representatives from the local authorities
and journalists.
