E.ON Bulgaria supports the young hopes of Iliana Club in their preparation for the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008

E.ON Bulgaria signed sponsorship contract with Association “Iliana Eurhythmic Gymnastics Club” at a formal meeting today in Sofia. The club will receive 120 000 BGN for a period of 2 years which funds will be applied during the training preparation of the young Bulgarian hopefuls in rhythmic gymnastics for the Olympic Games in Beijing.

“We have been looking for the right partner for a long time. A partner who radiates activity and vitality, charm and dynamics, cosmopolitanism and in the same time originality – in brief: a partner full of energy for a company full of energy as E.ON Bulgaria is”, said Mr. Paasch, Chairman of the Board of Management of E.ON Bulgaria, during his statement.

Eurhythmic gymnastics club “Iliana” was established in 1993 by the World European champion in Eurhythmic Gymnastics Iliana Raeva. It has attracted a constellation of talented gymnasts and elite coaches and has been demonstrating for more than 13 years its class, spirit and authenticity.

E.ON Bulgaria is the majority shareholder of 59% of the Electricity Distribution Companies Varna and Gorna Oriahovitsa. The company maintains about 40 000 km of electricity distribution grid, supplying more than 4.9 TWh of electricity.

“We believe our mutual efforts will support the young graces from club “Iliana” to achieve the successes of the golden generation of Bulgarian gymnastics, to which the eminent founder of the association belongs to”, stated Mr. Paasch.
 

The company’s involvement in particular aims supporting the preparation of the competitors for the next two years before the Olympic start in Beijing in 2008.

E.ON Bulgaria already supported a number of selected youth sport events – the Sea rowing and sailing regatta for children, participation of a Varna football team in the Junior Football Cup 2006 in Germany, etc.
