Business Park Varna, Building 6

9009 Varna

Bulgaria

In the beginning of 2005 E.ON Bulgaria EAD became an owner of 67% of “Electric distribution company- Varna” AD and “Electric distribution company- Gorna Oryahovitsa” AD. In January 2006 the company sold 8% of its shares in the electric distributional companies (EDC) to the European bank for Reconstruction and Development, keeping its controlled interest.

In the end of 2006, as a result of the legal unbundling, the former EDC Varna and EDC Gorna Oryahovitsa were restructured into E.ON Bulgaria Grid and E.ON Bulgaria Sales AD. The legal unbundling allowed a real participation on the liberalized market in the country to the companies of E.ON Group.

In 2007 E.ON Bulgaria realized annual sales of electricity measuring about 5, 0 TWh, supplied 1, 1 mln. customers in Northeastern Bulgaria and maintained about 41 000 km of the electric distribution grid.

In order to improve the quality of the electric supply and the efficiency of customer service, E.ON Bulgaria develops its activities in nine regions with differentiated regional centres and it constantly develops its services, which it offers to its customers, in pursuit of providing them with services at European level.

On the basis of its international experience, combined with competence on a local level, E.ON Bulgaria has the goal of becoming a leading Bulgarian energy company.
