1. What should I do if I have no electricity?
First of all, you can check whether the main fuse in the fuse board is intact. If the switch is down, lift it up and check whether there is electricity again.

Check whether somewhere in the block of flats, or onto the main switchboard there any notices for planned interruptions of service in the area or possibly a sticker that the electricity in your property is disconnected because of unpaid bills.

In case that you do not find any such information and electricity is not yet reconnected, contact us at 0700 1 61 61 (at the standard rate for a local call) and consult our operators. They will inform you, if there are any planned interruptions of the service in your area and in case of a break-down, the information provided by you will be passed on to the technical team in due time so that it can be dealt with as quickly as possible.

2. What should I do if electricity is disconnected because of my unpaid bills?
  • You must pay all your overdue bills for electricity together with the legally imposed interest for overdue payment and the reconnection fee. You can pay:

  •     - in cash at all cash desks of E.ON Bulgaria, in the Customer Care Centers and at the cash desks of our partners - "Bulgarian Posts PLC" and "Information Services PLC".

       - via bank transfer, through a payment order – to the following bank accounts:

UniCredit Bulbank - BIC: UNCRBGSF / IBAN: BG47UNCR763010EONSALE2

    SG Expressbank - Varna - BIC: TTBBBG22 / IBAN: BG56TTBB94001515068374

In order to pay your bills, in the payment order you must specify your customer number and the period that the payment is for.

    3. How long does it take to reconnect my electricity after I pay the reconnection fee?

E.ON Bulgaria Grid AD informs its customers that after receiving recommendations from SEWRC related to protection of consumers and fulfillment of the requirements of Directive 2009/72/EC, the company has ensured organization, which gives the possibility for reconnection of customers after payment of all disconenction and reconnection costs until the next calendar day. 4. When does the period for reconnection of disconnected electricity begin, if I am paying the reconnection fee via a bank transfer?
It begins at the moment in which E.ON Bulgaria is informed by the bank that the payment is made.
In case that the customer produces a copy of the payment order, or the deposit slip for a paid fee, an employee of the company will contact the bank and the period will begin after the bank confirms that the payment was made.

    5. Why do I have to pay a reconnection fee when the electricity in the property was never actually disconnected?
When a customer of the company does not pay their electricity bill within the allocated period, their property is listed to be disconnected. The reconnection fee is charged at their account at the moment at which the property is included in the list for disconnecting because of the expenses to organize the disconnecting. Collecting overdue payment requires additional resources – employees, who exercise control, analyze, develop and carry out the whole activity. Because of the large number of customers to be disconnected and reconnected, it is possible that some properties are still connected to the grid, but this fact does not mean that they haven’t caused additional expenses to the company as the actual disconnecting of electricity is the last step of the process of disconnecting of customers who have not paid their bills.
There is a way in which can avoid overdue payments to the company and also save time - via payment with direct debit. This way of payment does not require you to go to a cash desk of E.ON Bulgaria, but it is rather banks that exchange information and do what is necessary so that your electricity bills would be paid on time.
